This weekend we had a little break from our bathroom renovation and spent our Sunday at the Prix de Diane Longines in Chantilly, at ten minutes from our home. It wasn't my first race course, but my first Prix de Diane. So I brought my biggest hat (an oversized Yohji Yamamoto fedora) and had lots of fun people watching. Pick nicking with heels, hats and bubbles is something else!
Oh and actually I planned to shoot some fresh faces for my Styloise series, but the people I approached were all from Paris. Bummer!
What a fantastic crazy hat party!! Oh my, if I hadn't read it, I would have thought it was somewhere in England:-) Great photos Judith!
Hahahaha in France they go hat-crazy as well! It's such a joyful & classy event, and so close to our home too. Definitely something to put on your bucket list, Igor ;)
wow, it looks windy. must have been hell with the hats. stunning pics though. I would have loved to see all those creations in real life :)
Oh yeah, I've seen more than one hat flying across the race track ;) Lots of fun to see all the creative & classy headwear.
Looks très cool and très chic!!
What a good excuse to wear a great big hat ;)
Yes! Next time I'll get creative and make myself a giant fascinator like I used to do when I was in highschool ;) Can't wait!
Haha. You look great. The hat is bigger than you:-)
I've never been to Ascot and don't really inspire to but love that you shared your experience here!
Fun day out! x
Hahaha yeah my hat was giant :D I never thought an event like this would be so much fun, not stiff & classy, but joyful & classy. Enjoy your weekend, Tina!
Oh brilliant. I'm always fascinated by the hats and outfits at the races. We lived near a major one in Sydney and i always have so much fun watching the patrons in the street. Great photos and you look great Judith. M xx
Thanks Mel! Likewise, it was so much fun checking out all the outfits & hat all day. Enjoy your weekend, Mel!
