Waking up to thoughts of the US this morning. After Sandy I was almost worried about another disaster this week… but I'm glad it's not the case!
LEGO Lady Liberty has been keeping me company on my desk for the past few weeks. She's pretty cool right? Have you ever seen her "live"?
Yeah, another disaster would have been quite the thing!
I've seen her from afar, although I lived there for many years, I never ventured out there! But she looks just as beautiful from far, I suppose!
Oh yes, it's kind of special to see her “in person”, although it has been so long since I've met her… time to go back! You never made a boat trip when you lived in NY? It's so pretty seen from the water :o)
I don't really follow American politics or the elections for that matter, but the lego Liberty is very cute, indeed!

Thanks Agnes! Hope it iiiinspired you :o)
I have to confess I was little bit nervious bc of the elections as well :) Obama won! Gooood! :D
And I love your LEGO Liberty :)
Thanks Anastasia! Such a relief!
I think we all did a sigh of relief when we woke up this morning.
I have been to the Statue of Liberty. Quite impressive. And here on Lago Maggiore we have a statue of San Carlo that is just as big. You can crawl up his behind and up through his body and look out his ears. Now doesn't that make you want to come visit!?!
Oh wow, that's tempting! ;o) The only “statue” near my place is a duck covered with flowers. In Paris we have several replicas of the statue of Liberty though. But there's nothing better than the real thing :o)
She is adorable!!!
Thanks Jenny!
