Are you in a joyful mood yet? Here at home the fairy lights are place and remind us daily of the shortest merry days of the year. If you’re looking to make your upcoming festive meals even more grandiose, I found something that will add a very special touch to your table: the new iBride Morphose cloches, in collaboration with designer Constance Guisset. You may recognize the Morphose shape from the iBride espresso cups collection, that I presented to you on the blog before (see here). The iconic shape was initially designed by Constance Guisset as “a wing open to the wind or a fin that dives and swims”. It also mimics the wing of an insect, or… the shape of a dumpling!
For these ceramic cloches, the Morphose design was blown up to 3 large shapes: an oval ceramic dish with a generous cloche to hide what’s underneath. The cloches are white high glossy ceramic and make a lovely sound when you take off the cloche. It adds some magic and mystery to the revealing process of some yummy food. As we are not yet preparing a festive meal this week, I played around with decorating alternatives for this season: a Lego forest of Xmas trees, a collection of Brazilian dried seeds, twigs and rocks and some Corsican clementines.
The Morphose cloches are handmade in Portugal and come in 3 different sizes: Small: H.11.2 x L.27.2 x P16.2 cm | Medium: H.16.1 x L32.6 x P19.6cm | Large: H.21.8 x L.38.7 x 23.6cm. To give you an idea, the largest one is the cloche with the Lego forest, the medium size is filled with clementines and the smallest cloche keeps the dried seeds, twigs and rocks.
A peek into our kitchen where it has been sunny all week after last Friday’s snowfall.
It’s citrus season! These clementines were grown in Corsica and taste sooo good!
Of course I had to place one of the iBride Morphose cloches on the new green shelves. This the smallest size and it can keep some dried seeds, twigs and rocks, that came home with me from Brazil. As you can see, there are some Xmassy Legos invading the shelves as well 😉
Precious treasures from nature, but you can also use this smallest cloche to present after dinner chocolates, sweets, a mini pudding or some jewelry for example. The possibilities of a theatrical revealing with a hint of mystery are endless with these iBride Morphose cloches!
