Not far from where I grew up and the nearest bigger city you can find one of the oldest petrol stations of the Netherlands: Brabant Service Station. When the entire area was restructured, the classic building from 1933 faced demolition. But somehow the city council "splurged" 800K€ on moving the gas station 55 meters from Read article…

Buttercups & Pillows
After a tsunami of dandelions, we currently have a garden full of glossy buttercups. I picked a few flowers for our living room… in the domoor they look pretty good! The petals didn't drop by themselves… Ehmmm… who's fond of buttercups? (for the record: Wally also loves pillows and cardboard boxes)
Matisse cutting into color
Situated along the highway between our home in France and our family in Holland, is this lovely museum: the Musée Départemental Matisse. I also spent some time at the hospital… or better: at the recently opened restaurant Mariapaviljoen in the old sanatorium in Den Bosch. Around the corner of where we used to live, you Read article…

Casual Friday Sun
The nice spring weather adds two perks to our cinema room. First, it creates beautiful shadow patterns everywhere: And second: the sun encourages our little mandarin tree to bloom. The blossom makes the entire room smell amazing! I wrote about our cinema room before: here and here. Have a happy & sunny weekend!
Melons in the making
For the first time ever I'm growing melons this year! My sister sent me watermelon and honeydew seeds with her latest sistermail and now I can't wait to make these frozen honeydews again with my own homegrown melons… My vegetable garden is really tiny, so I'm not sure how I'll manage. But so far, the Read article…
